Tonight we have brought online with its new look. We have decided to extend the beta for at least another week or so. We made the decision this evening, when we reviewed the remaining content and felt it would be better to delay the launch and provide better content than to rush it. We are in need of a few additional staff members, especially ones interested in maintaining the powermac, powerbook and rs/6000 sites. If you are interested please contact .

Courtesy of PenguinPPC, "The 800mhz Titanium PowerBook has been running at 667mhz under Linux. The machines actually boot at 667 mhz and it is up to the operating system to change the processor speed. Unfortunately, due to the closed nature of OSX we were not able to easily surmise what needed to be done. French uber-hacker Benjamin Herrenschmidt has now announced that after a night spent playing with registers that the new TiBooks run at their intended speed. Kernel support is available in his kernel tree but as always we recommend you contact your vendor for kernel updates. "
