TuxPPC - Search for "gnome"

I use Xfree 4.0 with a kernel 2.2.15pre14 from BenH on an iMac DV in 24 bit color (cmode:24). It works fine but my screen is slightly trembling (with very bright white as already noticed by others). Is it going to damage my monitor? Any suggestions to stop the trambling?

If you are looking for a good email client for your system, take a look at these reviews. LinuxPower has a of CSC Mail, a GTK+ Perl email client. As seen on , will be releasing Star Office 6.0's source code under the GPL on the 13th October. The press release is . Rumors are that the new code will be based on GTK and the Bonobo components, the same ones used by Gnumeric, Nautilus and Evolution.

The register this morning is reporting on . According to this article, GNOME is being choosen as the default desktop for Sun/StarOffice, because of it's popularity -- "... and LinuxPPC as being Gnome standard bearers right-now..." According to this article, the next version of Solaris will standardize on GNOME 2.0.

Richard Moore of KDE the fact this GNOME pact is more talk, and less actual code or proof of it's abilities -- and that KDE is also the choice for many popular distros.

The on the GNOME Pact announces that HP/UX and Solaris will be standardizing on GNOME 2.0 for the future, and that GNOME 2.0 will be including technologies from Open(Star)Office and Mozilla.

Ximian has announced in a recent press release that Ximinian Gnome 1.4 can now also be ordered on CD. Included are versions for Debian "potato" 2.2, LinuxPPC 2000, Mandrake 7.0-7.2, Redhat 6.0-7.1, SuSE 6.3-7.0, TurboLinux 6.0 and YDL CS 1.2. The source code is included as well.
